The Mexican tomato salsa is one of our all-time favorite appetizers. Summery fresh and quickly prepared with only 6 ingredients, it goes well with bread, nachos or tacos.

10-20 minutes | for 2 people (as a starter)

ingredients
☐ 2 onions, medium-sized
☐ 1 jalapeño (yellow,red,green)
☐ 2 limes, juice
☐ 5 ripe tomatoes, medium-sized

Spices & Herbs
☐ 1/4 bunch coriander
☐ 1 tsp salt

preparation

1. Finely dice the onions. Finely chop the jalapeño and coriander. Put everything together in a bowl.

2. Marinate with lime juice and salt. Mix well and leave for 10 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, halve and deseed the tomatoes. Then finely dice the tomato flesh.

4. After 10 minutes, add the diced tomatoes to the onion-coriander marinade. Mix well and serve.
